Gulliver Camper
Founded In 1988 by Antonio De Bartolo who hand-built a camper like a boat, with a single continuous fiberglass monocoque (1991). He went even further by making insulation a key part of the structure thus building the lightest and strongest shell on the market. As a testament to our build quality, many of those campers are still with their original owners on the road today. If you are lucky, you may find a used one on our website. Compare that to disposable campers that disintegrate into pieces at the slightest accident made by giant corporations.
Over those 35 years, we kept pushing the limits, and today we are able to craft the strongest, lightest carbon/kevlar shells that save hundreds of kilos, so you can bring more gear, have more autonomy, or drive off-road where most only dream of going.
Vision? Passion? same thing:
"Behind every Gulliver is a family passion for the road. We build custom vehicles meant to last, blending honest craftsmanship with the technology you need to travel freely and sustainably. With hundreds of our builds already exploring the world, we create each new camper to be the foundation for your next great adventure."
Our Mission is simple:
"Build the most capable, sustainable, and technologically advanced custom campers on the road, and off-road. We don't cut corners on materials or engineering, because we want you to feel completely free to map your own route, anywhere in the world."
Our Core Values are clear:
"Listen, Collaborate, Determine & Foresee. Be transparent, rigorous, precise & reliable."
Our Building Convictions are strong:
"Compact Outside, Spacious Inside": Through our custom monocoque shell and specialized construction techniques, we unlock 300 to 500 liters of extra storage space (that's 3 to 5 giant suitcases). By packing the interior capacity of a much larger camper into a car-like footprint, you get a second car, and a camper.
"Built for the Outdoors, Not the Grid": We don't build heavy houses on wheels for wall-to-wall campgrounds; we craft agile campers designed to let you experience nature to the absolute fullest.

The Proof of Our Expertise:
Our Clients say it best
"incredibly safe & secure"
We wanted to feel safe and secure in our camper, so we bought a Gulliver with upgraded windows and a security package. I'm so glad we did, because a truck broadsided us, and pushed our camper on it's side for 50m. The Fiat window and mirror were broken, but there was only surface damage on the monocoque, and a broken hatch door. We were fine too.
"durable & sustainable"
We wanted a camper that would last until we retired from camping, and everything we saw on the market was not adequate. We bought a Gulliver in 1999, and after 20 years we upgraded to induction cooking, and 12v refrigerator and added solar. The camper is still going strong. and so are we ;)
"go & stay anywhere"
We wanted a camper to Overland South America, so we were the first to have a Gulliver TERRA with an overland and off-grid package. We love the go anywhere and stay anywhere possibilities, and we have no plans of coming back to Europe yet.
"heavy-duty w/home comforts"
I was a truck driver for 25 years, so I wanted heavy-duty, and my wife wanted comfortable. Gulliver built us just we wanted on a IVECO Daily chassis with a 3l engine, and lots of comforts from home.
"Dirt Bike inside"
I love to ride Dirt Bike and I don't want to leave it outside, so Gulliver built a place to store it inside our TERRA 4x4. Every Winter we travel extensively through Africa or the Middle East, or both.
"Artic Circle & beyond"
Our passion is far away places that are cool. We love camping for a week or more in the middle of nowhere amid trees, scrub or tundra.
